My Story
Overcoming different life transitions was hard but rewarding. It provided me the skills, experience and tools to support those who may be going through it. Here, I share my experience allowing you to get to know me as a person and a counsellor.
Heartbreaks were never easy for me. I could go for days, months and years feeling miserable. I value connections, the ones I felt comfortable to be myself with. So when I connected, and all for it to end - it can feel world-crumbling. Sometimes, needing to keep busy or distracted to cope.
Heartbreaks
Yes, I was going through a heartbreak in this photo.
I started working later than expected, and finding a job was difficult. The rejections were painful and disappointing. However, once I secured my first role, new opportunities followed. Since then, I’ve worked across many roles, building confidence and a deeper understanding of people and workplaces.
Job Transitions
I was previously an admin officer, pathology collector, production technician, support worker & case manager.
My education story was a never a linear road. When you don’t have the desire or passion towards any career - it makes the educational journey much more difficult. It was harder to stay motivated, and I always felt overwhelmed. It wasn’t until I sat down with myself that I found my passion in counselling.
Education Transitions
I completed a Bachelor of Medical science, dropped out of Psychology and completed a Masters of Counselling.
We all have our personal challenges. Mine was depression and social anxiety. Depression made me feel helpless, often wanting the pain to stop. Social anxiety made me feel paralysed, wanting to escape after overthinking every interaction. It took a lot of time and effort to slowly come out of it all, but it was doable.
Personal Transitions
In this photo, I was getting out of my comfort zone by attending a 1-Day Modelling shoot.
And that’s my story
Overcoming these transitions and challenges were difficult, but not impossible. From these, I’ve learnt to become more confident, open and expressive.
Life is tough, but it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it.
If any of my challenges resonated with you, please feel free to reach out.
You don’t have to do this alone 💚.
