My Story

Hello!

Overcoming different life transitions was hard but rewarding. It provided me the skills, experience and tools to support those who may be going through it. Here, I share my experience allowing you to get to know me as a person and a counsellor.

💔 Heartbreaks were never easy for me. I could go for days, months and years feeling miserable. I value connections, the ones I felt comfortable to be my whole self with. So when I connected, became partners, and all for it to end - it can feel world-crumbling. Sometimes, needing to keep busy or distracted to cope.

My journey with 💼 jobs were delayed but accelerated. I didn’t start working until later, and, finding jobs became immensely difficult. The rejections were painful and disappointing. However, once I landed one, everything became different. I became an admin officer, pathology collector, production technician, support worker, case manager, mentor and now a practicing counsellor. The transitions and experiences gave me the confidence to understand and navigate nuances within different roles.

My 👩🏻‍🎓education story was a never a linear road. When you don’t have the desire or passion towards any career - it makes the educational journey much more difficult. I completed a Bachelor of Medical Science, dropped out of a Graduate Diploma in Psychology then pursued my Masters of Counselling. During these stages, I often found difficulty focusing and managing studies in a healthy manner. It was also only until I sat down and reflected that I landed in my passion - counselling.

Who hasn’t gone through 🧘🏻‍♀️ personal changes? As humans, we experience, learn and grow over time. My personal story involved depression and social anxiety. Depression often made me feel helpless, drained and lost. Social anxiety made me feel paralysed and seeking escape after overthinking every interaction. It took a lot of time and effort to slowly come out of it, but it was doable.

That is my story, and as a result, I’ve become a more open, confident, expressive and happy individual. I hope to bring my experience and skills to support those who may being going through difficult life transitions.

It can be lonely, but it never has to be, and I don’t take anything away from you when I’m just here to llsten and work with you.

If any of these resonated with you, please feel free to reach out.
